If I misunderstood the purpose of the device, then my original review was unfair. It makes the connection quickly and easily, and if that is all that is intended, then it's fine. (Still wish I could find something that would minimally improve the quality of old VHS tapes. They are not all easily replaceable. Sigh!)=============================================================I'll give this one star for improving the volume from an old Sony VCR a bit. But my flat screen TV has both S-video and composite connections, so didn't buy this just to make a connection. I was hoping for some improvement in picture quality. Really none. The 720/1080 switch didn't seem to make any difference.I can't be the only person with a whole lot of old tapes she'd like to watch, and I'm not even very fussy at all. Yet I can find no solution. GREAT news for working-from-home parents! Now we just need a HDMI switchbox and the Wii is next!!! LOL!Great product. PnP all the way. We used S-Video to get the best "signal" *cough* to our 65" 4K TV - amazingly the reds aren't blown out and everything looks decent enough given the technology gap we just jumped :D ### ⭐⭐⭐ N64 no luck *by M***A on Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2019* This did not work for displaying n64 on Samsung UN43UM6300 4k tv. I was lead to believe by info/reviews that it would. I have since learned that perhaps I need a scaler as the N64 is native 120 and most new tvs need at least 240. I'm going to test that theory by ordering a similar product that includes scaling to 240.Otherwise this was a neat little product and package that arrived quickly and seems like it would otherwise work great.
