The R&F Handmade Paints Professional Oil Pigment Stick Set includes six 38ml sticks of translucent colors, crafted from natural materials in small batches. This innovative, solvent-free paint allows for a brushless painting experience, making it ideal for artists seeking portability and quality.

## Description

R&F Pigment Sticks are oil paint in stick form. Pigment Sticks allow the painter to draw or paint directly onto a surface without brushes, palettes, paint tubes, or solvents. We use only the basic traditional materials: natural wax (beeswax & plant wax), linseed oil, and pigment. The result is an oil stick with a lipstick soft consistency. Pigment Sticks have none of the additives, extenders, substitutes or facilitators that are commonly used in industrial production. While the use of these adulterations can save time and reduce cost, they lower the quality of the paint. Consequently, our formulas are complex and our manufacturing is labor-intensive. All paints are handmade in small batches, carefully milled and molded. R&F Pigment Sticks are available in over 100 beautiful colors, see each individual color for a description of the unique color. R&F Pigment Sticks are available in three sizes: 38ml, 100ml and 188ml. Proudly made by hand in the USA.

They may be transparent, but they are ultra concentrated and go a long way, and you are not sacrificing brilliant color for transparency. Amazing projects for any warrior artist, not afraid of powerful colors. Also, they all go so well together. The price here is cheaper than anywhere else I've found. I am so glad I tried this set.

**Q: This is probably a dumb question, but does this paint dry fully? It looks very "wet" whenever I see artwork that's been created with pigment sticks.**
A: Eventually it does dry, just realize that it takes a longer time to dry.

**Q: Can I use these with/on an acrylic painting with maybe acrylic varnish between is that possible?**
A: You can use them over acrylic but never underneath. So, first acrylic, last oil on top.

**Q: Are these smaller than the ones in the 3-pack?**
A: That are 38ml.  Not sure what the set of 3 has :).

I've used these pigments before so I knew these would be great, but this set has far surpassed my expectations. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful Oil Sticks

As an recent convert to encaustic painting, these oil sticks offer an incredible and easy way to sketch color onto a work. I have also worked using a pallatte knife. Colors are wonderfully saturated, the opaques are rich, the translucent colors are rich and vibrant. I have also used these oil sticks in some of my multi media work. They create an interesting spread when used on transfer paper (which I transfer on to paper, and cannot vouch as to how they work on fabric or other media). I bought the two sets Opaque and Translucent simply to test them. I'm hooked. I will continue to buy the colors I work with.
