I used to have to go to my colorist every 6 wks for a toner to cover up the brassy awful red tones that would appear after my color would start to fade. I can control my color so beautifully every time I use it. ive used other color shampoo/conditioners in the past and this is just the absolute 'creme de la creme' of color conditioners. It contains high quality ingredients without gross chemicals and parabens, smells great, brings back shine and luster and maintains a rich hue that you would normally have to spend so much more in the salon to get. I've used 4 different colors over the years depending on what shade my hair is but this particular one seems to be the best for me as I can't stand brassiness and this cuts it perfectly. I have used golden blonde on my ends a lot when it was highlighted and also alternate occasionally with the reddish brown when it gets really dull but I don't even color my hair that much anymore because of these conditioners and they way they have facilitated such natural hues over the years. I can also control how much of an enhancement I want depending on the length of time you leave it. A few weeks ago I successfully and subtly shifted my brassy sun drenched hue to a rich light/medium brown and my highlights which had turned orange shifted to a perfect deep honey. I will say that if you leave this particular color on very light blonde pieces it turns a bit green so I use this color on the top of my head which is darker and blend a little of the golden blonde or chestnut brown on the ends. It sounds complicated but you can really get exactly what you want. I cannot recommend this product more highly to anyone looking for a wonderfully luxurious, high quality and effective way to control your color and get rid of horrid brassy orange colors without having to spend a fortune at a good salon!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing color control for brunette tones *by E***A on Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2022* This is my new must-have! I have dark brown hair and I get a color gloss at the salon occasionally to add shine and remove color lightened by the sun at the ends. However, my color gloss always turns to more of a maroon-ish/burgundy hue which drives me nuts. I used this for the first time today and it brought back my natural tone and it looks and feels amazing. Highly recommend for brunettes trying to control their color in between appointments. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Tones down the red and is easy to use *by J***D on Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2014* This product did a good job of toning down the red tones that creep into my hair a few weeks after a professional hide-the-grey session. I hate that red - why does it happen? Back to the product, it doesn't really cover the grey roots very well. And I wish they had a darker shade of brown; getting rid of the red lightened the hair ends which don't match my roots now, but at least the red is reduced. The product is easy to use and doesn't smell chemically.
