One thing I've learned: Being a natural product, some slight variations in color and aroma are to be expected and, in my opinion, a sign that the merchant is sending the real deal.When straining the wax, it seemed to be more free of pollen/other natural material than other wax. My candles poured beautifully. Also, a good price and prompt delivery. Ordering more now. I've purchased 6 pounds so far in a mix of white and yellow, and while the yellow has varied in color from batch to batch, that doesn't bother me at all. I would say this beeswax is top quality....no strange smells, no debris in it...and it makes phenomenal candles and bath/body products. As soon as I opened the box I smelled a foul scent, like burnt rubber. I am allergic to latex and I stArted experiencing the same symptoms as if I were exposed to latex, my skin is now raw, had to take a shower, put on medicine, and use an inhaler. Very disappointed. I know bees wax can absorb other odors and it seems this absorbed the scent of rubber tires.
