Review: Gret reel for a great price - Been using spinning rods and reels my whole life. A friend recently gave me a nice spin casting rod so I needed a reel for it. Not knowing if I would like using a spin casting rig I didn't want to buy an expensive reel, so I chose the Zebco 404. Turned out to be a great choice. Solid, smooth, and fast retrieve ratio for a spin cast reel. Just had to take off the junk line that was on it. But always have to do that with any pre-spooled reel i've bought. For the money you can't beat this reel. I would definately buy or recommend and buy another one of these reels.

**Q: Whays the main difference between the 404kbk and the 404mbk?**
A: The 404Mbk is the current model.  The 404Kbk is a few years older, mostly cosmetic changes.

**Q: can this be switched to left handed retrieve? and does it come with a double knob and a single knob handle?**
A: The Zebco 404 cannot be converted to left hand retrieve. The gears and plastic are not built symmetrically like in other Zebco reels. Looking for a mounting spot for the handle in pictures is you're safest bet.

**Q: What kind of line does it come with?**

Good reel for a kid, the metal gears help since the older version had plastic gears that didn't do so well. Haven't caught a fish yet but we shall see.
