I live in southwest FL and it is just to hot to wear jeans or pants that have that kind of weight. These pants are very lightweight and perfect for hiking, fishing or anything outdoors in the heat when long pants are necessary. Also, they look crisp enough that they could be worn to work in a casual environment. Please note I run between sizes so I purchased the larger size based on some of the reviews, I’m not sure what they are talking about I needed to send those back and I replaced with proper size. The pants have an elastic waist area so they stretch a little and are really comfortable. Lightweight, good looking and not baggy. The design is sit at or above the waist.I'm 5'7", 165 lbs, with average shape, not athletic nor husky, around 33"-34" waist so I normally order 34", but thanks the flexible elastic waistband, I order 32 X 30 this pants and fit and comfortable, but inseam seems a little longer than 30", compare to other brand like LAPG, Free Soldier and CQR.Also notice that both large cargo pocket have only one hook and loop(rear side ), because of internal zippered pockets. This make easier to took things out, but also fall out easier from the cargo while you sit.The other concern is that this may be the generic tactical Pants, like anything you can find on ebay for half price.You will not find anywhere show ReFire brand mark with this pants. They made in China and care label is in Chinese. If not Amazon Label on the outer plastic bag, you will never tell this is ReFire pants. Also, the alloy button shows "Tactical Clothing Series", not like other brand have their name(like CQR) or logo(like LAPG) on it. You can see the difference if you zoom in the advertised picture and compare it to my picture .So, I highly suspect these are generic, no-brand pants which you can get for half price in other places. If this is not a dealbreaker for you, these are comfortable, good pants itself.
