I am using 2 sets of these (Main Surrounds and Rear Surrounds), and they sound amazing. Power led by marantz sr8012 I was skeptical at first about the "in wall" speaker. Not for any real reason other then old rumors. I was blown away by these speakers. Amazingly clear and powerful sound. My rear sound stage came alive with the addition of these and the marantz upgrade. I couldn't be happier. I added acoustic egg crate foam in the wall behind the speakers. I even considered replacing my old Klpisch Rs3 side surrounds. But they are still doing a good job. If sonwthing happens to my original side surrounds, I'll replace them with these in walls.

**Q: Can it be mounted on the ceiling?**
A: It Can be mounted in the ceiling, but it is a rectangle and was really designed to be in the wall.  They (klipsch) make an in ceiling thx round that is a surround specific speaker, the ks7502 thx.

**Q: Which one will sound more balance between klipsch r-5650-s-ii or klipsch r-5850-s-ii for the fronts and which one has a good mid range?**
A: I'm assuming you mean Klipsch r-5850-wii.  Those will sound mich better for your fronts than the 5650-sii.  The 5650-sii are for side and rear surround sounds.

**Q: what is the wattage**
A: The R-5650-S II has a power handling of 50 Watts at 8 Ohms. It is recommended to connect this speaker to an amplifier/receiver that supplies close to 100 Watts per channel at 8 Ohms.

**Q: Does the sound "roll" accross the horns as the sound object goes front to rear? In other words, do rear sounds amplify from the horn facing the rear?**
A: The R-5650-S II utilizes two controlled dispersion Tractrix Horn tweeters
angled opposite of one another. The result is a wide dispersion pattern to accentuate movement and surround sound ambience.

What can I say, these in-wall speakers are fantastic. The dual horn tweeters aimed to each side are excellent for a broad sound stage, and a great addition to my 13.2 home theater system. A little pricey for a rear surround speaker(s), but well worth the cost for a very clean in wall setup. While satellite speakers don't compare to speakers built in cases, these if properly installed, give a really clean rich round. The double tweeters built in, satisfied my concerns about replacing 15 year old aqustimas cubes with the ability to direct the split tops and bottoms. This gives the ability to have reflective as well as direct direction to the listening area.
