Highly recommend this. *by R***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 May 2021* I have a ( CBDC ) engine 2.0l tdi 110 81kw passat B6 2009 and it works perfectly. Fit this loosely with only 1 nut screwed up to on the rod as far up as it can go, and push the linkage for the the turbo as far up as it will go, mark it and cut the rod 2 inches below that and clean the thread ( Cutting THIS WILL VOID WARRANTY) but makes it really easy to fit, (basically a gamble)a normal 1/4 10mm deep socket and small ratchet will tighten it when refitting it. (Or dont cut it, you may have the proper socket and patience or you may have a faulty item and void the warranty!!!) remove the plastic pipe at the bottom of turbo,its held in with 1 tourqe screw at the rear and it rotates off, this makes it easy for the ratchet to turn a couple of clicks, Fit the part and tighten the 3 10mm bolts,put on the bottom nut and screw up as far as you can by hand,then screw down the top nut, (a bit tricky) tighten bottom nut with socket, put a dab of heat resistant silicone on bottom of nut to stop it working loose or use a second nut to lock it. This is around a 45min - 60min job in total, easy enough but not for a beginner. on this engine CBDC you will not need to program it with a computer if its done as i said. It may work with other engines, i have fitted 2 to my car now with no problems, the last one lasted 2 years and started loosing pressure. Again this works perfectly. The main dealer now supply this part for about €200 i think,Hope this helps someone who hasnt got a ball of money to throw at someone to do it for them, again you must know a bit about working on engines to attack this yourself. (Be careful nothing falls into your turbo and is left behind) engine light will clear itself if that was the fault but data will remain on the cars computer. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars DON'T BUY *by K***M on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 January 2022* After spending best part of a Sunday in the cold trying t change this only to get everything done to start the vehicle only to realise DING DING DING the part doesn't work, Fun knowing I am now Β£50 for the part and Β£80 labour out of pocket only to make it worse had to buy the part from TPS which was a lot more in price but then had to pay another Β£80 to get it fitted and guess what it actually cured the problem. Learn from my mistakes don't try cut corners, just pay the little extra the first time and get a fully assured part from places like TPS etc.I hope this review is a help to anyone else looking to change this part. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic value, time will tell but chuffed so far! *by M***C on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 July 2020* I was skeptical reading the reviews about holes not lining up etc, mine arrived quickly on prime. I looked and vacuum tested the device all tested as expected. I then removed the air box from the car the crank case breather and intercooler to turbo pipe to give more access, I then cracked the nut on the bottom of the old actuator, and undone with my finger, I then disconnected the air pipe to the actuator and undone the three bolts that hold it on. (A little difficult because of the oil feed to turbo pipe). I undone the brackets to allow minimal movement of the pipe and removed the hole thing, (those nuts undo literally 1/4 at a time) just be patient.Once removed I measured from the base of the actuator to the bottom of the nut, it was 23.6mm on mine. And replicated this with thread lock and for instant stick a dab of hot glue onto the new actuator, I spotted it into the car and replaced the three nuts, they lined up just fine ( little tip place nuts into there holes above the oil pipe and jiggle them into place). Again take you time doing up.Another good tip, apply vacuum to the new actuator and hold it on, this will expose the threads and make it easier to connect the rods up.
