They left a shard of metal inside and it rolls around every time it moves and makes a tinging noise. Just annoying, not really a problem though. After so many holes the digging edge will dull from hitting rocks, so I usually use a flat file to sharpen the edge a bit. You don't need to sharpen it, but its less wear and tear on your drill. I use it commercially for installing termite bait stations and it's held up great.
