I thought it was more like a bump cap. This helmet actually has like a little more than an inch of white foam or concrete in it. What they call a comfort liner is a little more than a tee shirt in thickness. If they would've had more than one picture I wouldn't have bought it. The inside is as hard as the outside, literally.
