Each 12g pack treats up to 7.5kg of starch in fermentation volumes up to 25L, optimizing mash liquefaction for superior alcohol yield. ## Description

Still Spirits Alpha Amylase is a bacterially derived. Sufficient for up to 7.5 kg of liquefied starch. Powdered alpha-amylase enzyme which breaks down or liquify gelatinised starch into dextrins and simple sugars prior to saccharification with glucoamylase and fermentation by yeast. Liquefaction!For use in mashing of starch-based substrates, such as raw grains and potato, for fermentation of alcohol to make distilled spirits. Instructions: Bring your starch substrate slurry to the boil and simmer for 30 minutes, then turn off the heat and allow to cool to 80C (176F) or just below. Add enzyme and stir well and then cover (or hold at 65-80C (149-176F)) and allow to stand for 60 minutes.Net Weight: 12 g (0.4 US oz) Sufficient for: Up to 7.5kg (16.5 lb) Liquefied Starch For Fermentation Volumes Up To 25 L (6.6 US Gal) DO NOT INHALE Ingredients: Sodium chloride, Alpha-Amylase enzyme. This Enzyme is part of the Still Spirits Distillers Range which includes Yeasts, Alpha and Gluco-Amylase Enzymes and Nutrients for Dark and Light Spirits. Whisky, Bourbon, Rum, Vodka and Gin. I use this to make my oatmilk at home, it gives it a fabulous taste! And such a tiny amount of this goes so far! If you're crazy like me and need to know every ingredient in the things you eat and are willing to make it yourself, the only, and I mean the only way to make your own chocolate syrup, then Alpha Amylase is an absolute must. The ingredients are, Dutch processed,(my obsession) Cocoa Powder, Sugar, Water, and Alpha Amylase. The syrup lasts forever in the fridge and tastes better than any syrup I've bought. Without this one ingredient the syrup hardens, gets lumpy, gray, and the powder doesn't fully dissolve. It's turned into a necessity for every syrup I make sweet or savory. It's a must for gravy.
