I used it as a hatchet to cut some wood for a bone fire, worked great. After opening the box, I was excited to try it out. For scale, i placed the product down on an 8x11 sheet of paper. It's not huge, but it seems to be big enough to dig small holes/trenches. Unfortunately i won't be using the one i received.The item i received will not lock into place using the "tactical 'O' ring." You can see the pictures below that the tabs from the shovel head simply do not line up in the 180 degree position. The tabs do line up with the o-ring in the other positions. Not usable in it's current state.My only other issue is with the overall quality. The grease on the head isn't really a problem (the discolorations in the opened flat view in my pictures), my issue lies with quality of cuts/welds around the holes. It looks like it was meant to be a hex hole, but was drilled out and later welded for a repair.Overall, not impressed.
