I do quite a bit of baking. With brand-name vanilla extract selling for well over $40 a pint, I was looking for less expensive alternatives. This product had wonderful reviews, and at $9 a quart I figured you couldn't go wrong. Yes, you can and did. The bottles are a very flimsy plastic, reminiscent of a cheap water bottle. . The liquid inside smells faintly of vanilla, but also has a strange chemical odor and after taste. I would never use this in any baking, so it all went down the sink.
