My husband and I just moved into a new house with a large walk-in closet. We set up all our clothes and shoes and then realized that even though our shoes were mostly clean and in good condition, the closet still had a faint stinky feet smell especially near our shoe storage. I bought these bags, put one on alternating shelves, and the smell was gone within a couple hours. I heard that you're supposed to "recharge" these monthly or so by setting them out in the sun for a while. I haven't had to do that yet, but I'm hoping this is a good long-term solution. I’ve burned incense, wax melts, diffused essential oils, plug ins, etc and unless something STRONG is plugged in our Apartment smells awful! I bought these charcoal bags for cabinets and closets. I put the largest one in the walk n closet (it’s a small walk in closet. About 10 foot deep and maybe 3 foot wide. These are working and now when I open a cabinet door or a closet door I don’t gag from the hoarder smell! I have no clue how long they will work. I’ve only had them a few days. I hope they last at least a few months. It does not completely gets rid of the musty smell but it helps. My car sometimes smells too. We live in the south so during the summer it gets a bit stinky.
