I had selected gourmet cheeses that don't lend themselves to pre-cutting, so it was important that I had elegant but useful knives. When I ordered these on Amazon, I crossed my fingers -- and I was not disappointed. In fact, I ordered a second set right away.The stainless steel knives are single-piece construction so that you won't be prying cheese out of cracks with a toothpick. (Yes, I've done this.) The knives themselves are not heavy-weight, but they feel comfortable in the hand, thanks to the curves. Best of all, they cut through hard cheeses with minimal effort. My guests spent no time struggling with the cheese tray. The forks can be used to spear hard cheeses that have already been cut or with a charcuterie/sausage board.These are affordable, nice-looking, and practical.
