## Description

desertcart.com From the renowned company that created the Swiss Army knife a century ago comes this complete set of tools for men and women to tuck into pocket, purse, glove compartment, fishing-tackle box, or anyplace else where it can be found in a hurry. Measuring just 2-1/4 inches long--smaller than a pack of gum--and sheathed in the famous Swiss Army red plastic, the MiniChamp II pocket knife is a toolbox and manicure kit small enough to fit into a pocket or clip onto a key ring. A valued companion, this pocket knife consists of 11 separate tools and carries a lifetime warranty against defects. The tools folded inside the pocket knife include a small knife blade, scissors, a nail file, a nail cleaner, a cuticle pusher, tweezers, a cap lifter with a magnetic Phillips head screwdriver, a scraper, a ball point pen, an emergency blade, and a screwdriver with ruler. --Fred Brack Product Description TINY TOOLBOX This small knife has big ambitions. The 2.3" MiniChamp features 16 tools, stainless steel construction, and Swiss-Made precision – making it an indispensable companion on your daily adventures and quick fixes. FEATURES 16 FUNCTIONS: Blade Nail File with – Nail Cleaner Scissors Cuticle Pusher Screwdriver with – Ruler Emergency Blade (Letter Opener) Hook Tool/Package Opener with – Scraper Bottle Opener with – Magnetic Phillips Screwdriver – Wire Stripper Key Ring Tweezers Retractable Ballpoint Pen CARE TIPS FOR YOUR SWISS ARMY KNIFE The steel is tempered, annealed and polished to achieve the necessary hardness and provide optimum resistance to corrosion. SHARPENING To re-sharpen your knife, use a whetstone at an angle of 15°– 20°. This will result in a cutting angle of 30°– 40°. If sharpening on a grinding wheel, always cool with plenty of water to avoid excessive temperatures and the resulting damages that may occur. CLEANING If the blades of knife begin to stick together, open and close the blades in warm water several times - this will allow the tools to move easily again. Once dry, apply a drop of Swiss Army Knife Oil between each tool and its spring. Do not put Swiss Army Knives in the dishwasher. HISTORY & HERITAGE In 1884, Master Cutler Karl Elsener opened a cutlery shop in Ibach, Switzerland. There, he and his cutlers’ union produced the finest steel cutlery, finished with the now-famous proprietary edge preferred globally by professionals and home cooks. Karl supplied the Swiss Army with its standard issue Soldier’s Knife and Officer’s Knife. After the death of his mother, and with the advent of stainless steel, Karl changed the name of the company to Victorinox. It is from those humble beginnings that a worldwide icon was born. Today, Victorinox is still owned and operated by the Elsener family, and both the company and family still resides in the small village of Ibach, Switzerland.

Review: Victorinox's most complete small pen knife - This tiny (58m) pen knife has a ton of tools on it--some that you didn't know you needed. It has two knives (one is a precision knife), a nail file, flat edges that can be used for small slotted screws, a small, magnetized, phillips screwdriver, a tiny ruler, the great, famous Victorinox scissors, a very effective bottle opener, a pill sorter (can be used as a medium sized slotted screwdriver and a small package opener/orange peeler. These are all small tools, but they are strong for their size. Getting them in the Alox style (aluminum sides/scales) makes the unit a bit stronger, but you lose the tweezers (just use the precision blade instead), and pen. The price difference is not large between the two versions. This knife is very small, lightweight and can be carried on a keychain. One of the downsides is that this is pretty expensive; however, it is very well made. I have a few other Victorinox knifes and they have lasted for many, many years. I have a Victorinox Fieldmaster that is about double the size of this Minichamp and the two complement each other well because the Minichamp has smaller tools that the Fieldmaster does not. An alternative to the Minichamp is the Victorinox Rambler--it has fewer tools and is less expensive. It basically is a Classic SD with the nice bottle opener/magnetized phillips screwdriver. Unfortunately, the Rambler, does not have an Alox version. This is a very capable, small knife that can be utilized for a ton of things. It is very small, but that is one of the things that is nice about it--it doesn't take up much weight or space, yet it is very handy.
Review: Compact with plenty of tools and robust aluminum scales - My Midnight Champ, essentially the same knife with the same tools but with translucent deep blue scales and a flashlight, found its way to the washing machine after several years of dutiful service, and I was appalled at the damage it sustained there (though, oddly, the LED light that's not water sealed still worked somehow). I decided it was time for a replacement especially since, since I purchased it, I have moved aboard a boat and prioritize submersibility when I jump overboard for a swim or go kayaking and things might go awry. This one's more durable at the expense of the light or, if you don't get one with the light, tweezers or toothpick. Is it odd that I really like the toothpicks on Victorinox knives? I even used them as...Toothpicks. But I digress. I like the wide array of tools on these MiniChamps regardless of which you choose. The bottle opener's a bit fidgety but otherwise, the only downside is how long it takes you to develop the ability to instinctively grab the right knife or tool out of the vast array it sports. The small phillips head screwdriver is the best small phillips head screwdriver I've ever had in terms of connecting exceptionally well with small phillips head screws. And as someone living a slightly more risky than average lifestyle, I like that it has a near-scalpel type blade and that the orange peeler one that's great for clamshell product packaging is also a pretty good design for cutting through clothes to access a wound with removing the item of clothing -- Which is probably what it was originally designed for. It's nice that it augments a first aid kit in the form of an everyday carry piece that's near always in my pocket. And with the aluminum scales, it's even thinner than with the plastic ones. I added a zipper tie to mine, so it's easier to handle and I have an inch more material to grab onto before it potentially slips out of my hand and falls overboard...And I break down in tears over losing a $50 exceptional and surprisingly manly looking for its size (with those checkered aluminum scales), pocket knife. I attached a proper lanyard with carabiner to my Victorinox Skipper Pro sailing knife, which I had to buy directly from Victorinox because desertcart didn't carry it at the time, but that would defeat the minimalist sizing of this one. Great job, Victorinox! I'll try to keep this one out of the marina washing machine.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ By far the best Swiss army knife of this size.
*by R***H on February 16, 2026*

This is by far the best Swiss Army knife if you're looking for something to carry around in your pocket every day. There is a wide assortment of tools, and the selection is superb, including the ones I use all the time and avoiding the ones I never use. Very nice to have the retractable pen (which I think only comes with the red plastic scales). It has the really well made and usable SAK scissors, a good awl, and a fingernail file (which is something I always want but seems to be increasingly rare). To cap it off, it's the petite 58 mm size which fits very easily in a pocket or on a keychain, but most Swiss Army knives of this size have way fewer and way less useful tools. Unless you go to one of the much larger and thicker 91mm Swiss Army knives, this is by far the best choice.
