Review: Worth the money - Great buy, great picture quality.
Review: GOOD LITTLE MONITOR WITH LIMITATIONS - I was on the hunt for a small monitor with HDMI input to view video for Zoom services. The intent is to use a monitor only with a TV tuner for use at home. Since this was on my own budget, I went for the Tyler 10" TV that would satisfy the use as a monitor and a TV for home. I've used this monitor with a Canon VIXIA HF G50 and the Canon D60. Set-up: This is very easy. As soon as the unit is plugged in and turned on, the menu options rolled along. The are plenty of options but my main ones I'm using are TV and HDMI. Channel Capture: I live less than 2 miles from the Sutro Tower in San Francisco and in using the supplied wired antenna, I am able to capture all the stations with its sub-channels which equals to hundreds of channels. It reaches to San Jose for the NBC channels. Those with channel limitations need an amplified antenna. It is the antenna that captures the signal. The better the antenna, the better the TV station signals. You can't blame the TV for poor signal reception. I've scanned the radio signals and there are a lot of them. I don't plan on using the radio feature any time soon. Sound: Yes, the sound is tinny since the speaker is very small and it is built into a very small space. I'm connecting this to a Bose Soundlink speaker. I'm also using the Sony noise cancelling headsets. You can't adjust the tone levels but the overall sound is fine. Picture: This is okay for the price point of a portable TV. It is not an high quality HD monitor but serves my purpose for targeting video (especially for the price). The picture is clear and the color is accurate (via test pattern). Build quality: The exterior and screen is all plastic. This can be easily scratched but with careful handling and regular cleaning it will be better cared for. The stand attachment is good but really light. That's not a deal breaker. But be aware of how you are handling it since it is a fragile piece of equipment. I'm using a neoprene case to transport the TV. Battery Life: I did a battery run and it is hitting over 2 and a half hours. I imagine it can go further and have not tried to fully drain the battery. I'm intending to use this plugged in although running the battery will help its longevity. Remote control: This is small and there are a lot of buttons. The remote is full function and the controls are also mirrored with the control buttons on the TV itself. No issues here. If the limitations are not a deal breaker for you, the Tyler TV is a decent all-on-one portable TV monitor. For a professional portable video monitor for critical use, use a good monitor. But on my own budget and wanting to use this as a monitor as well as to use this at home, this is a great alternative. Have fun!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this connect to the internet?**
A: This is NOT an internet device. This TV has a USB port for display of digital media, an HDMI port for connecting to other video devices, such as DVD players. There are also AV input/output ports with an included connecting cable. This TV is NOT a "smart" TV. It DOES NOT contain any apps or internet services. This is a television only. Please refer to the product description for all the available functions and features.

**Q: So if you are 40 miles from a tv station, this tv isn't going to work? Please don't answer "I don't know".**
A: all I can tell you is: the built-in antenna is not quite strong enough for over air TV 30 miles from station; I use an antenna I bought from Amazon that just plugs in to the TV set. Also works very well with Amazon Firestick. The FM radio works really well. Has all the features of a big TV.

**Q: Do I need a separate digital antenna?**
A: The TV comes with a basic telescoping antenna, 32" expanded, which receives Digital signals in different directions. Transmission signals vary according to station broadcast strength. My basic antenna receives about 20 stations from 270 degrees west (about 30 miles away) and 10 degrees north (about 42 miles away). My optional Luxtronic DT103 antenna receives more than twice as many stations.

**Q: this equipment is compatible with any 32 gb flash memory this equipment is compatible with mp4 format?**
A: you need a flash memory player box and plug it in the usb port

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Little TV; Needs Longer Battery Life
*by C***B on July 20, 2022*

Purchased this TV so we could sit on our deck or gazebo and watch some TV outdoors on these nice summer nights. Wanted a rechargeable unit so there wouldn’t be electrical cords all over the place and to be able to easily bring the TV indoors to avoid inclement weather. This TV fits the bill for us. Takes about 4 hours to fully charge initially. Picture quality is excellent. I did use some of the “user” settings to adjust picture to my liking, though there are many choices of settings to choose from as well. I am also using a streaming stick and using the TV’s USB port to power that rather than utilize the electric option. Tyler TV’s don’t seem to be listed on most streaming stick setup options so you really cannot use one remote for TV and stick. I will say that once you do the initial setup, the TV remote is not mandatory as all the control buttons are mounted right on the front of the TV and clearly labeled. You have about a 100 degree viewing area before the quality of screen viewing begins to decline. Not a big deal at all. Others have mentioned that their unit arrived with an inoperative HDMI port. Mine worked but it is very sensitive. If you have a sloppy fitting HDMI device, you are likely to have an issue with this input. The manufacturer should really fix this issue. The antennas supplied are adequate but not great. There are 53 stations available to my area but these antennas only pull in about 16 of them. Sound is adequate but don’t expect rich bass. The FM radio sounds more like an AM radio because of the built-in speakers. Battery life is fair. I see reviewers reporting 3-4 hours of battery life and that’s great. Running on battery and also powering my streaming stick off the TV’s USB port, I get a consistent one and a half hours of usage. I will update if this changes. I do like the fact that the TV shuts down when there is about 5% battery life remaining. Lithium Ion batteries don’t give you long usage if they are constantly run down to 0%. Though there is no reference to this in the instruction manual, I would charge the TV with the master power switch in the off position. You see, the TV has 2 power switches. One powers the TV on and off and is located on the remote and the front of the TV. That switch shuts off the TV but keeps it in standby mode, keeping a very small drain on the battery. The other power switch is located on the side of the TV and is a master power switch. This switch completely shuts down the TV and there is no further drain on the battery. The TV charges more quickly if the master switch is off. In general, I am pleased with the purchase but will probably be using the electrical connection more than I had hoped.
