Seems to not dry out when doing that. I even used this stuff to repair some damage I accidentally did to the bead on a Goodyear Wrangler radial, and it worked great. I knocked a hunk of bead out by not paying close enough attention while using my old antique tire changer. I glued it back into place and left it overnight, next day it was good as new, and that tire runs today on my pickup. This is a most excellent rubber cement, from my own experiences anyway. **Q: how long will this last ?** A: Permanent **Q: Does any one know how long it will last in storage?** A: The cans usually last a long time, I too have had mine for over a decade though mine had a metal cap with threads.
