I purchased the vest in white as I felt that would be a less obtrusive colour when worn underneath a shirt. As mentioned before, this material has a terrific amount of stretch to it so if you are dieting as I am then the tummy shaper vest should still support you even after losing a fair few pounds. I am bordering on 1XL - 2XL so I purchased 1XL as I intend losing a few pounds, the 1XL fits me fine so it should still be a good fit if and when I lose more weight, it does fit tightly but that is the whole point. The vest when worn does cling quite tightly to your body but it's not uncomfortable to wear. I find it a little warm with a second shirt worn over the top as it's summer time but on a cool day or during the winter it should be fine. This does trim your body to look more sleek, any minor bumps or bulges are hidden, mainly in the stomach area, man boobs can be improved too. But, this only improves your appearance, it will not work miracles so if you are vastly overweight, you will still look overweight but more sleek. If you are like me with just a few bumps and bulges then it works a treat. The vest appears to be well made, it should take a fair bit of stretching. The seams are strongly and neatly stiched with the edges of the material being reinforced, so I can't see the seams coming apart over time. The vest is a little difficult to remove as it clings tightly to the body so you may need a helping hand in taking it off, I can remove it myself but find it much easier with a little assistance. This is a comfortable vest to wear, it appears to be well made and does help smooth out some of those ugly bumps and bulges if you want to look good wearing an over shirt or just the vest alone - Recommended! So basically I’m 6ft3, 20 stone a retired Rugby prop of 18 months ago, I’ve got big muscular shoulders and arms but an ever increasingly bloated gut due to retiring from sports and an inactive day job, a less strict diet and only being able to make the gym once or twice a week but over the last year I’ve felt increasingly uncomfortable with my posture and gut. I bought a XXL vest and having looked like my daughter’s crop top it does fit, although it’s a job taking it off. It will improve your posture and it does more than an average sports compression vest, but is it like you see on the viral videos ? Maybe a little. I think if you’re a real flabby guy (which I’m not) such as someone who has gone through a considerable amount of weight loss and has excess skin then this would be more suitable and this will work great for you.
