I put them on for 15 minutes and they were causing discomfort on the outside of the foot, edges were cutting into my foot. **Q: Is there a silicon / gel like pad inside the foot sleeve?** A: the gel pads come separately. My husband just uses the sleeve and that seems to be all he needs. **Q: Do these help cusion big and little toes** A: They cushion the fat pad (ball of foot). If you check the picture , you'll see the pad is nowhere near little or big toe. I didn't like this style because it kept sliding up my foot and was a bit tight. Smashing metatarsals together doesn't help a Morton's neuroma. **Q: Trying to protect painful bunion xallus will this work?** A: I don’t think so, the gel is on the underfoot. There would just be fabric on the side/where your bunion is....no real cushion/padding.
