    Useful for Beginners, but not for Intermediate to Advanced Sewers

This is NOT a book about sewing scrubs, but a book about decorating and altering scrubs - in particular, four distinct styles. Overall, there is nothing new or useful in here for an intermediate seamstress. The book outlines how to add different styles of patch pockets, adding bias tape and appliqué, and adding inserts. These are things that anyone can easily do on their own, without the guidance of this book. The book provides more inspiration than detailed construction notes.However, if you are a beginner sewer, than this book may be immensely useful. It helps you to alter and personalize already made scrubs to your liking, and provides simple and easy to follow instructions. The steps are individually explained, and clearly illustrated. The flower appliqué templates are attractive and easy to use, and the book explains how to transfer them to your fabric.The book includes three bonus tutorials for a water bottle cozy, ID holder for your key chain, and an mp3 player armband. The water bottle cozy and ID holder are made from patchwork, and the instructions are easy to follow.
