The handle for cranking the umbrella up and down works smoothly and is much easier to operate than the pulley mechanism on my old umbrella. However, as you can see the fabric is already beginning to fade and stripes have appeared where umbrella has been closed. I did not expect to have to dismantle and cover after use every time. I anticipate that it will look very shabby after a full summer’s use.
