Eggs! Yes, he eats lots of them. However his strength can cause him some problems. When he goes to clean his teeth he squeezes all the toothpaste out of the tube! Walking in the woods, he does not look where he is going and bumps into a tree. The result? The tree falls over! SO are there any advantages? One day whilst out on a walk he comes upon a very worried farmer whose field is on fire. What does Mr. Strong do? He upturns the farmer's barn, fills it with water and puts out the fire.A kind of nonsensical book but an amusing one showing children that their strength can be used in two ways and illustrating clearly which way is best. Love them! My three daughters loved them 30 years ago. My granddaughters love them now.I've seen a bunch of intellectual reviews decrying this product. They are totally missing the point.My take is simple: The book is just a tool and it's up to you how you use it. Sit with your child, read from the story page making up your own words, appropriate for your particular child, while you show them the lovely friendly pictures. The kids just l-o-v-e to look and listen. When my (32 yrs) daughter opened Mr. Tickle last week she immediately recalled the page with the choc chip cookie and the page with a tickling arm coming around the corner.I just sat reading to my 11-week granddaughter and she just so much loved the pictures, never taking her eyes from them while I blathered my own fun stories to her.These books give delight, little children love them.
