It lies flat. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Buy these, not a roll *by M***G on August 23, 2020* I have bought the roll product in the past and know how long it took to finally relax and lay flat. A long time! These, however, are flat in the package and are a joy to have laying flat on the floor and not twisted or gnarly. Our application this time was largely cord concealment and hence we did not fasten them, nor do we walk on them. They just make the cables from the electronics center to the TV disappear along the baseboard. Together with a behind the wall cable kit to the TV, there are no visible cables. The dark brown color and our floor are similar and one has to look carefully to even see these are there.One other point, these are easily slit from the bottom to allow a cable in the two side channels. We have three cables, one in each side and one in the center. The center would handily accommodate another cable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easiest solution for your cords running across the room *by J***K on May 22, 2019* First of all, the seller, Yecaye, is wonderful! This product is great because they are straight (opposed to the one long rolled piece that's a pain to straighten) and easier to install because of the sections. I had to take an exacto knife to slice open the side channel, but this was easy (and I'm a weakling). My husband had to put the thick extension cord in the middle so I wouldn't break my nails. He even had to struggle a bit to get it in. I only wish they lined up to look like one long piece when laying on the floor, but that's probably remedied by lining up the sections and lining up the "grooves" first before installing. I got two different batches so the color is a little off, but not a big deal. Maybe if I ordered at the same time they'd come from the same batch. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well, be patient if installing multiple cords *by V***E on November 18, 2020* We bought a new couch that needed to be plugged in for the recliners and outlets. We weren’t going to have the couch up against a wall on the end so the cords run underneath and come out on one ends and then drape across the floor to the wall. So, I bought this product, which works well and gets the job done of getting cords out of the way and avoiding a tripping hazard. It blends in pretty well with my brown hardwood floor and is easy for people, cats and an iRobot to navigate without trouble. It was, however, a pain to install- took much longer than I thought it would and I had to fight to get multiple cords inserted. I used a box cutter to slit open the two optional slots (there is one main larger space for a thick cord and then two side channels that can be used if needed but they need to be cut opened and are more narrow. You have to get the cords just right to lay flat inside the smaller channels and have to bend the cover a lot to expose the cut channel enough to get the cords in. Once the cords are inside the cover doesn’t slide at all so if you don’t put it on the exact right place along the cord you have to completely undo it and start again.
