My answer has to be NO. This case has about 29 1/2 inches of internal length room which includes room for the sleeve that the rod is in. You will not be able to fit three more inches of length, which a 4piece 10 foot rod would have. **Q: If i wanted to use this for a spinning rod could i? Would i be able to trim this case to 36 inches?** A: The tube is only 30.7 inches as per the description. Otherwise, it is a great product.12 ounces vs. 30 ounces for a PVC tube helps when taking on a flight as it keeps weight down by nearly 3 lbs. for 2 cases. I stood one one with my full 180 lbs and it barely flexed. Very strong. The components are nicely machined and the tube is smooth. The overall quality seems very good. The only issue is that the cap has an o-ring I assume to make it water resistant. The o-ring OD is 50 thousands smaller than the mating ID and it does not feel as though it seals on any surface. As a result I do not expect this to keep water out if it is submerged.
