Part retro 90's and part high fashion, it kind of mimics a crown while being casual and subdued. I felt like this was a little bit of a gamble as there are not many padded head bands on amazon that have many reviews but these are really hard to find in any stores. I am reviewing so that others can see what the headband is like! The quality control must have gone up on these handmade headbands as mine was padded evenly and came in a protective case. The band is small enough that I think it would fit a lot of smaller heads and flexible enough to fit a larger head. The velvet is nice and not crushed. Very soft on your head. Seams are even and there is no hard spots or exposed glue. The wine red color I got is not garish though if you want it to stand out even more against your hair you might want a brighter color. The height of the padding is just right. I didn't want anything over the top but I wanted to padded to be substantial enough to give the correct "halo" look. Obviously not exactly the same as the Prada and made of less luxurious material but a great value and gives the desired look!!
