I use this thing all day long every day for superheat and subcool. I have had it for a little over two years now. It still works well. After two years though, the wire that goes to the clamps is cracking and I had to replace one clamp and I may have to replace the other one here soon. That said, it has been two very long years of working great in the rain, sun, snow, sleet, -30 real feels, and still works great.One thing that makes this unit stand out above every other unit is the ability to calibrate the unit yourself. Every other unit must be sent back to the manufacturer to be calibrated. With the Hilmor, just get a bowl of ice water and calibrate your unit to 32 degrees.Excellent unit, excellent price, and overall I am quite impressed and pleased!

Comes with it's own hanger or snap it in between your Hilmor gauges. Comes with one battery and has storage space for a spare battery. Clamps are really convenient but may not fit into some tight spaces. Back lighting makes it easy to read in low light areas. I have no complaints. It does what I need it to do.

one of the best thermometers i have ever used easy to read display has green back light that really helps in dark areas. the clamp on temp probes are very nice and stay one the pipes very well. very easy to take super heat and sub cool readings. every hvac tech should own one. come with a bracket that hooks to any manifold, comes with a AAA battery and has storage for an extra battery. they though of every thing

I bought this because someone told me it was good quality and would hook to my manifold. The thing they give u to hook it to manifold doesn't work well. I compared line temps with my other thermometer and temp is off by 2°. Not worth the price

I attached these to my gauges and they work great. They have the ability to be calibrated but I've never needed to do so. Thermocouples aren't cheap and for just over 100$ for two plus a readout display these do a good job. They are narrow and easy to clamp onto lines that are hard to get to.UPDATE: After using them for over a year I still really like these clamps. My only complaint is that the wires are not very long, but usually that is okay and doesn't matter much.

Out the box 5° off, calibrated with ice water. After calibration it would drift around as much as +\-3° just sitting there.Cold junction is terrible, if it has one at all. If you touch the thermometer it would drift even more.

Clamps of good quality and accurate readings by display that works real well for using just one AA battery. Description of what is included is incorrect so don't think you'll be getting hoses or anything else other than the clamps and display.
