It's water proof and the fleece lining will keep my pup nice and warm on our winter walks. Kinda wished there was a hoody on it but I do think it's better than most of the dog ponchos out there. We got the XXXL for our lab/border collie mix. She is 64lbs and fit is a little too big. I was worried anything smaller would be too tight on her. The color is great for hiking, walking the trails (easy to see them). Nice quality, has reflective stripes, 2 down the back & 2 small in the front, also has a nice soft fleece material on the inside. I live in NY so I need it for the colder time of year rain. Pretty easy to put on & take off. My dogs are 25lbs & 30lbs, in which I ordered the medium, this product does run a little small. I am definitely keeping the coats, event though its a bit snug for one of them & I would definitely buy again, just wish I knew about how they ran small. Coats came pretty fast as well.
