Review: Amazing and almost immediate results! No more vomiting. - My now 10 year old black cat started vomiting a few years back. Mostly large hairballs but sometimes right after a meal, barfing up all his dinner. His barfing became more frequent as time went on, sometimes everyday. I had already tried some OTC hairball remedy and it had not helped. I mentioned his vomiting to my veterinarian. She said 'well, he's not losing weight and all his vitals are good and his blood work is normal. Let's try giving him some OTC hairball remedy'. I had already done that-- but tried again, purchasing a 'better' more expensive product. Didn't work. I should mention that I had already taken him off dry food, wet food only. Then I put him (and my other 3 cats) on grain-free wet food. That seemed to help a bit. Then about 2 years ago I became a full time pet sitter -- sitting exclusively for cats. And because competition in my area is fierce I knew I had to be the best I could be -- and that meant being informed. I bought and read books on cat behavior and cat nutrition. Every book I read - whether it was about cat behavior, introducing a new cat into a multi-cat home, treating cat health issues with natural products -- they all had some sort of information about cat nutrition. And the books written specifically about cat nutrition went into depth about IBD (inflammatory bowel disease). I won't go into all the info on the subject of IBD but in short, what I learned was eye-opening. From then on I was on a mission to help my cat. First thing I did was buy some Egg Yolk Lecithin which helps to break down hairballs. I sprinkled half a capsule on every meal. This helped much more than the OTC greasy hairball remedy. His barfing went from frequent to just 1 or 2 times a week. He started to feel better, he became more playful. But I kept reading and learning. Then one day a client and I were talking about her cat's runny poop and my cat's barfing. She said "you have to get some probiotic. It really works." That evening I logged on to desertcart and searched for cat probiotic. After reading reviews and reading labels, I chose to order Pet Ultimates Probiotics for Cats. I wanted the best for my cat - something that would work 100%. As soon as I got this product in the mail, I started adding it to Booger's food. (that's my black cat's name, Booger !) The results were almost IMMEDIATE. Within 2 days, NO more barfing. I was happy and at the same time surprised. Why didn't I try this a long time ago? Why didn't my vet tell me to buy some probiotic for my suffering kitty? After a few weeks, Booger's personality changed... for the better. He no longer slept on the floor under the dining room table, he no longer slept most of the day. He was out and about, sleeping on the carpeted stairs, sleeping on one of my 3 cat trees, playing with cat mice and asking for back scratches. Just like people, some cats need some help with regard to their digestive system. While I am not a vet, not a vet tech and not in anyway in the medical profession, I do urge cat owners (and my clients) to try this probiotic before your Vet puts kitty on an expensive gastrointestinal diet. Just as an example, I have one client that has a cat with constant diarrhea and her Vet put her kitty on the expensive gastrointestinal food....and kitty has not improved, she still has the runs. I owe my cat's much improved health to Pet Ultimates Probiotics for Cats. I will always have this product for him because it works!! And I forgot to mention that this company contacted me personally to inquire about my cat's health. In fact, the company owner and I emailed each other on several occasions. This to me says they really care. Customer service too is 5 star!! Thanks to everyone for reading my book-length review. I hope it helps.
Review: Great for Old & Young Male Cats, Too: Improves Bleeding, Immune Function & Constipation - I love this and believe both cats are reaping benefits, although I specifically bought it for my 6-year old cat. My 6-year old cat has irregular bouts of fresh blood in his bowel movements since he was first diagnosed and treated for roundworm three years ago. The roundworm cleared up, but not the bleeding. It may be unrelated and his vet doesn't seem concerned since as it could be due to stress or other "benign" causes. I had been giving Fluffy Purina Fortiflora probiotic packets in the past and this is also what his new vet prescribed last year. However, this past winter, I read that foods and meds with "animal digest" were not the best for cats, so I started looking into a new probiotic. It was between this one and another one and I decided to try it first. I don't need to try the other probiotic. The results of using this one all winter long have shown less frequent bleeding and much shorter periods of blood in the stool - now just a day or two. Fluffy is a feral cat that lived on the streets of Chicago for three years. I had "TNR'd" him as part of my registered feral cat caretaker duties and decided to lure him inside before I moved as he was the last one of a bunch still coming. So before he became a full-time inside feral, I can't really say if he had more than worms. I now suspect he may have FHV (not to be confused with FIV) and that this probiotic is addressing his immune system and providing good bacteria. The probiotics have definitely helped Fluffy's bowel movements, as he has become more constipated in the last year or two with only wanting dry food. I grow organic wheatgrass for the cats and this helped some, but the probiotic was a good add-on for that issue. It is also less expensive than the Purina and the powder mixes well with pureed and wet food. Now that he has fewer bleeding issues, I just maintain him and my other cat (a younger feral we adopted from a shelter who had him in a cage for nearly six months) by giving them probiotics every other day. Captain Billy will eat anything and goes crazy for wet food. Fluffy is very picky and it is impossible to give him meds other than by sneaking it into his food. This odorless powder is a godsend. I mix it into Gerber Chicken baby food (nothing but meat, water & cornstarch) and then add a little water. Each cat gets less than an ounce of baby food with the powder every other day or they would both be "roly poly".

## Questions & Answers

**Q: how many servings in container**
A: I know it says 120 servings. But the scoop is really small, and I have found that if my 'sensitive' cat only gets 1 or 2 of that kind of 'serving' a day, he still vomits frequently. I have to give him heaping scoops in wet food, dry food, and I even shake it on the treats. With that level of dosage, he rarely vomits now. But I run through it so fast, it's pretty expensive. I wish they had volume discount.

**Q: What is the flavoring? Use for enticing to eat only, not probiotics - fortiflora is being used now. Description says tasty, lists probiotics only**
A: One of my cats doesn't like the flavor but I just mix some fortiflora in and it disguises the flavor. This 6 year old cat was slowly losing weight even though she was eating. The vet said it seemed like IBD and gave me some free fortiflora. Started feeding her fortiflora and she loved it. Saw Pet Ultimates and thought it would help even more. When she didn't like the flavor, I just mixed the 2. Worked like a charm. From 8.4 lbs down to 7.6 pounds back up to 8.4 pounds in a couple of months. Whew! What a relief!

**Q: Most probiotics require refrigeration, some don't require it, but this is the first i've read that says do not refrigerate. does refrigeration hurt?**
A: Thank you for your question. Refrigeration is not necessary, but will not hurt the product.

**Q: Where are the ingredients?!**
A: Each 1/8th teaspoon serving contains five billion colony forming units of Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus brevis, Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus delbrueckii, Lactobacillus gasseri, Lactobacillus fermentum, Lactobacillus helveticus, Lactobacillus paracasei, Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus reuteri, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus salvarius, Lactococcus lactis, Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium breve, Bifidobacterium animalis, Bifidobacterium infantis, Bifidobacterium lactis, Bifidobacterium longum and Streptococcus thermophilus in a base of prebiotic beta glucan.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Helps recover from antibiotics
*by T***Y on February 27, 2026*

My cat Jake got sick , vomiting daily and saw blood in stool. Vet put him on antibiotics for 3 weeks. He lost so much weight. I was genuinely worried I was going to lose him. 2 days after I stopped the antibiotics and reading tons about what I could do to help him recover. I started giving him these probiotics and the vomiting stopped. Now I’m just trying to get him to gain the weight back. He is getting better, especially since the vomiting has stopped. He does not flinch at the probiotics I put in his wet cat food. He is recovering now feeling better after a week. When he refused to eat his wet food he would vomit again. So I make sure he eats his probiotics every day. The vet helped get him through his infection but the probiotics is helping him recover.
