The LOCKING function, that HOLDS the weight reading, is a bit touchy. The weight reading tends to fluctuate and won't lock until it stabilizes, which could take a while. This could be a problem if you're holding something heavy or in my case, trying to calibrate a weight training station where I'm manually pulling the weight.
