It's solid like a hand soap and it feels like it slightly drags on the hair if you apply direct, so i would be cautio9of using too much pressure when working into the hair.Doesn't foam a lot but does a fab job so don't let that put you off! The conditioner bar foams up loads so you get that super clean end feeling which is nice after the wacmxy feeling of the shampoo bar.
