The Kalamata region, single farm, first cold pressed were easily the most flavorful. So when we were running low I found EVGE on Amazon and gave it a try. In taste test with our very expensive Kalamata oil it was very close. EVGE is actually better for salads, cooking and daily use as it was just a bit more mild. It even has a best by date. It is so rare to find a single source EVOO anywhere at a decent price.....One family, one farm, one passion. Quite delicious. We use it on our salads and for dipping bread. I would give it 5 stars, but there is at least one other olive oil with lab certified polyphenol content that is higher. Unfortunately the other olive oil costs almost twice as much per unit volume as this EVGE does. For slightly less polyphenol content I will continue to buy this one.
