It squishes down to about half an inch in thickness when using all my might. I was worried that it would not be as comfortable, but it really was. My daughter says it’s quite comfortable and soft for her. She takes it everywhere with her and use it to watch television and when I read to her bedtime stories. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Cute and cozy but came apart *by G***Y on Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2019* I purchased this for my grandkids to use in the car. My granddaughter loved it. It is totally cute, nice and soft and pretty cushy. It could have more filling to make it a bit more firm and less floppy, but it is not too bad. The one problem I had with this pillow is that the middle section came apart on the inside seam. It wasn't ripped, but the thread just didn't keep the seam together. So, I had to sew the seam back together for about 4 inches of the pillow after only ONE USE. It should have held together for at least one use. It wasn't too big of a deal for me to fix it, but it might be for someone who doesn't sew.
