The color is a burgundy color when swatched & a rather dull red when written with an EF or Fine nib. I purchased this ink without hesitation or looking at any reviews because most of the Herbin collection of ink I’ve purchased has been very nice. I am disappointed, but I shall probably keep this ink & ‘enhance’ it vial by vial to see if I can ‘improve’ this color. Who knows?
