Shut off gas valve and turned off electric breaker. Unscrewed 2 screws inside at the back bottom to remove tray. Unscrewed 2 screws at ignitor, disconnected at current factory plastic connector and removed old igniter. Had to remove couple of other screws to remove heat plates around wiring. Cut wire about 2" from end of plastic connector end and spliced in new part. Reconnected and it turned on. Cleaned around and behind oven although it did not have to be pulled out to do this. My oven is a 25 year old kenmore, and it is the first time having a problem. Nothing to loose trying since a repair guy is 100 to come out and 100 to fix plus $80 part. New oven would be 700 to 800.
