It went well. Think I overfilled the basket a bit but that is a learning curve. There are just 2 of us so didn't want a BIG one since I don't really cook that much anymore. Someone mentioned a SMELL that scared them and that concerned me but I turned it on like the book said with nothing in it at first and all I smelled was a HOT appliance, like any appliance you have if you overheat it but not really a chemical smell. With food in it there was no odor. I have purchased the silicone mat because I was concerned with the pictures of flaking non stick so I put the pad in with food on top and I think that is the ticket. Pictures of the burned parchment paper worried me so I hunted for the silicone mat. With no oil I just rinsed it off. So far I can highly recommend this one.
