About a year ago, my passenger side front speaker started rattling like crazy when any bass at all came on. It got really annoying really quickly. I had other things in life taking my attention, so I just ignored it, rarely turning on the radio. Finally, I got fed up with it, and found this. As it turns out, the front speakers have an amplifier mounted to them on a special plate that is attached to the speaker. This means that although any 6.5" speaker will technically fit the hole in the door, you have to find some way to secure the amp if you use some random aftermarket speaker. Not going to happen.So even though this speaker was a little more expensive than most, it has the mounting plate for the amp built right on. It's exactly the same as the OEM part.Replacing the speaker took about 10 minutes. The procedure is as follows:1. Unscrew two screws in the door. One in the handle well, the other behind the door opener2. Pry the bottom of the plastic door cover off. There's a small lip along the bottom where you can slide a screwdriver in. Gently wiggle the screwdriver around the bottom, popping the clips out. It sounds like you're breaking something, but you aren't. The clips snap in and out. I only unclipped the bottom half of the door panel... no reason to remove the entire thing.3. Once you have enough of the door panel loosened, there are three small screws in a triangle pattern around the speaker. Reach under and remove them.4. Wiggle out the old speaker. You have to lift it up and out to get the small amp clear of the hole. Not hard at all.5. Unplug the power line on the back of the speaker.6. Use a #20 torx driver or bit (it's looks like a 6-sided star) to remove the two screws holding the amp to the back of the speaker. Why they choose to use a torx on this is beyond me, but they did.7. Reverse the procedure with the new speaker. Attach amp, plug in to power, screw speaker to door, press door panel back in place, replace two door panel screws.If you can use a screwdriver with any level of competency, the entire process should take no more than 20 minutes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Almost perfect *by E***Y on February 10, 2019* We got this TV reconditioned and couldn't be happier! It is slow to start up (about two minutes) but, aside from that, every aspect is perfect. Great picture quality, great sound and the remote is awesome as it doesn't even have to point towards the TV to be picked Up.
