I ate this jam even though it came with the seal popped open. But in my defense, I could see the lid looked like it had been damaged in transit (dent on one side). And it was cold from traveling across the midwest in December. So... I took a chance. Sorry mom. Glad I did, though, because it is a fun taste experience! If you ever wanted to eat a rose petal dipped in sugar, this is probably what it would taste like. Yes, it has a weird perfumey-ness, and might not be your everyday jam, but it's something to try at least once. My daughter used it to bake a bread she saw on Pinterest with pistachios and dried fruit. It was actually quite tasty when baked into the bread dough... just a light, floral sweetness.
