The elasticated band at the back is very springy. I was worried the straps at the front, by the toes, would be too tight and rub, but the sandals are very comfortable! The sole is springy and cushioned and the sandals don't flap as I walk! My old sandals always used to get stones in them, but these must fit much better because nothing got under my feet. The size is perfect and they fit beautifully, even on my wide big manly feet! The beads look very nice too.
