I needed to get a basic reasonable quality gauge set. The project was the replacement of the rear rotors on a Toyota SUV.Although the gauge worked as advertised, I must admit that this gauge was far more changing anchoring to a place on the vehicle and holding the gauge in one place firmly and accurately enough to allow the gauge to work correctly. On the first couple of attempts, the gauge would slowly creep out away from the rotor, giving inaccurate readings on the gauge. Once I worked out a methodology for fixing the gauge, and spent a considerable amount of time getting it in place and holding steady, then it worked fine.for the level and frequency of work I do and need this tool was adequate. I'm really pleased with the purchase. This may not be the best of the best, but it will definitely get the job done. I have found nothing to complain about this product, and I'm picky, so that must mean it's pretty good. Unless you still have an arm and a leg leftover to give to the Snap-on guy for the same product with a Snap-on logo on it, I suggest you take a closer look at this product. I've also used Fowler brake micrometers with no complaints.
