I have shoes that I have not been able to wear because the souls are very hard and it was just too painful to wear them.I order these pads hoping they will make it more comfortable for me to walk barefooted or just wearing socks around the house (or to wear shoes I have not been able to wear in a long time). After trying them out barefoot, or with just socks and with shoes that I have not been able wear, I can say that they do make it feel so much better. At first they felt squishy (due to the gel material) which I was not used to. But as I continued to wear it on my right foot, I soon forgot about it. All I know is that I did not feel any pain wearing them while barefoot, etc. So far so good. While they did provide some level of added comfort, I feel that because of the type of material they're made of they weren't quite as good as they could have been. The material "squishes" quite a bit and when you stand on them, they compact down even thinner than they already are. I think I have sesamoiditis and was looking forward to using this to help my pain. I think it would've be better if I wore them under socks or something, but I wanted to wear this with my mules so I had to use them barefoot.
