DOMINTY 8HP 4 Stroke Heavy Duty Outboard Motor Boat Engine w/Air Cooling System

My order for this 4 stroke air cooled outboard boat motor started off rocky.First problem was the product could not be found in the warehouse. Seller did notify me quickly and offered a refund. I held out for my product which was finally shipped. The seller did keep in contact.Second problem was the rudder blade/skeg was broken off of the lower gear case in shipping. I contacted the seller in hope of a replacement part for the broken part but was not able to get one. I am concerned with future product support in case of broken and worn parts. After several conversations an agreeable alternative was made and I would have the part repaired by a fabricator.I installed the parts that required assembly out of the box, checked and serviced oils, grease, and fuel as needed. The engine started after only a couple of pulls on the starter rope. The engine ran smoothly and met or exceeded my expectations.I did find the stern clamps and tilt assembly to be less sturdy than I would've hoped but will suffice for propelling a 14' jonboat across my local lakes.

No electric start, and no reverse. Compararable to a 3 hp 2 stroke. Not terrible, but cheaply made. Centrifugal clutch, so give it gas to go.

It came damaged,oil leaking out parts broken,don’t waste your money on that,sorry!
