Very rich purple in summertime on my porch, I bring them in for winter and they get green stripes and then turn mostly green, I think from lack of sunshine but then turn purple during summer again **Q: Why are these cuttings so expensive? I just bought a pot of them with roots from Home Depot for $8.00** A: Don’t know how much they are selling for now but when I purchased them they were a good deal very healthy everyone rooted and was healthy. I couldn’t find any locally when I was interested in growing one **Q: What are the length of each cutting?** A: I honestly don’t know I ordered these over a year ago but still have the plants. I remember them being at least 10 inches long and they were very healthy and all of them took root **Q: Are they hardy in zone 6** A: I'AM in zone 8. Very pleased with the quality and deep color. AA++. I may order more once these take root to plant in soil. ### ⭐ THIS SECOND ORDER WAS WORTHLESS-Should Have Returned Them *by J***. on September 16, 2022* This was my second order from this company. First order arrived around mid August. The cuttings were nicely cut, wrapped in wet newspaper and plastic wrap and shipped in sealed bubble envelope. The plants rooted easily and now look like the healthy plants. This arrived around September. The cuttings looked as thou large sections of a plant were hacked off, then shoved into a huge box, 24" X 12" X 8". No moisture added to any of the cuttings. Took 3 days for delivery, I planted immediately using same procedure as before. Looks like very few if any will survive. Should have returned the box as soon as I opened it. I must admit when these plants arrived, I didnt have much faith on how many of the 74 (Not 75 as stated in post) plants would take & for how long they would last. When they arrived the first thing I said to myself was there's NO ROOTS on these clippings! Plus I live in Texas and we have killer heat in the summer! Well its been almost 4 months and as you can see from my pictures take on 9/22/24, they are all thriving!! I also am putting up a short vid of them the day they were planted to show the difference! (5/30/24) I will likely have to cut them back soon as the almost too tall at this point! They are flowering now also! My only problem is that about 20 of them are green and the rest are purple. I'm guessing a different strain of the same plant.
