The colors are very intense, so a little goes a long way. You must be sure to have clean, dry lips (do not apply any type of balm before applying the lip color or it won’t set properly and you will risk smearing). The down side to hours of stay-put color is the product is a bit drying...so I remedy this with a thin layer of lip gloss or balm to moisturize only AFTER the lip color has set completely. Also, the color that shows up on the outside of the tube isn’t always close to how the color looks on your lips...so you may need to experiment to find the right color for you.
