Terrible Sound
I bought this because it is the same size as the Big Jambox and seemed to tout all the same features at a fraction of the price. Well, you get what you pay for. It is encased in an all aluminum body which makes it feel very cheap. I think this would also dent and scratch both itself and anything it is placed on easily. It does have rubber feet on it, but the edges are very defined. The sound on it is frankly terrible. I compared it to my Big Jambox and this product sounds all high pitched and has no depth to the sounds it emits. The bass is non-existent and everything sounds muddied and blurred together. This went right back in the box. If you are not concerned with great sound quality and want something that is loud and will play your music for a reasonable price, this is your speaker.

Very disappointed with this issue
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I am having a similar problem as another reviewer with the static sound at low volumes. Just received it less than half an hour ago and it was the first thing I noticed about it. Very disappointed with this issue. Besides this the speaker sounds amazing at higher volumes. Given what the other reviewer said in his update I'm going to give it a week and if after a week the static sound is still present I will be returning this speaker.I really like that it has a microsd and usb port. The build quality is solid. I really like the speaker but if the issue persists I will have to return it. (original rating 3 stars)UPDATE:After further listening to this speaker I've reached the conclusion that the static sound is not only present at low volumes but also at medium and high volumes. You can really hear it when there is silence in a song. I will post a video showing this issue soon. This must have something to do with its bluetooth performance. I've also noticed that the speaker will abruptly cut off for a second sporadically while playing. Once again, this other issue must be because of its bluetooth function. While connected to an auxiliary cable there is no issue in sound. This is a real bummer considering that one of the main reasons I bought this bluetooth speaker was for its wireless capability so that I could handle my phone while listening to music. I really hope that the speaker performs better while in bluetooth mode as the other reviewer said the static sound went away in time.

Great Kitchen Speaker and Priced Just Right - Replaced Soundblock with BIG
Hey not bad for the price.I was hoping I didn't get a unit with that static issue and I didn't and probably shouldn't have worried at all. My devices are Bluetooth 4.0 compatible and the music came through very clear. I did turn down the unit volume versus from my phone. I would imagine others would hear that static noise if the unit volume was too high versus the phone volume because there is a difference between the two. If one is too high it will distort. Find a medium volume on the unit itself then use the phone or device to adjust from there and you shouldn't have any problems with static or distortion. Also, make sure you are using a device that is compatible with Bluetooth 4.0.So for quality of the sound, you shouldn't worry, It's better than Bose link, but not as good as Bose Wave. Big difference there. This by no means should ever be compared to a Bose Wave either but just to put a perspective on it. It's somewhere between the two versions of Bose speakers. I felt the bass was a little muddled for songs that use it heavily but pleasant for songs that use it acoustically, like Rock; jazz; blues; country. It could be tighter and then I would say it is a perfect speaker.Functionality of the speaker is easy to use for a millennial like myself. Bluetooth works well and the prompting sounds are not as bad as I thought. I own a Soundblock and those have pretty loud prompting sounds. See people complain about the buttons but I can see it clearly and use it in a lit room and maybe others should too. I haven't used the USB or the MicroSD but I doubt I would either since most of the time I'll stream from my phone or tablet.Battery life I would not comment on since it is always plugged in on the kitchen counter ready to use at a moments notice. The Soundblock has amazing battery life, however 6 hours for BIG speaker isn't too bad. I wished it was more but that could be true depending on how loud you play your music continuously on battery.Appearance is very sleek. Nice construction and feels solid while holding it.If the bass was tighter I would rate 5 stars but still impressed with the quality and the price I paid around $120. It's a great buy no matter what.

Great Sound with Multiple Input Options
Excellent Bluetooth speaker! I had never heard of brand but it is a quality built product. The look, feel, weight and sound exude quality. A visiting friend thought I had paid $300-400 for the speaker. Yes, you can pay that much for some other brands but why when such a good unit is available for $100? It is an excellent sounding unit. I've played Eagles to Bocelli and they sounded great. But what really separates this BHOM speaker from all the others is the multiple ways to connect it. It has Bluetooth, USB, microSD and auxilary plug. Name another quality speaker for $100 or $300 that matches that. I spent many hours researching different models and some might have USB or microSD but none will have all the connections like this BOHM BIG speaker except some cheap Chinese brands.I have recordings saved on USB to play in car and on microSD for phone but now I can play anything and everything in my house. Sweet! The Bluetooth connects easily. I had no trouble connecting 2 iPads and 2 Samsung S4's. And you can answer phone without trouble. If you need a great sounding quality built speaker to use with your USB drives, microSD cards and your cell phone, give the BOHM BIG speaker a try. When you open the box you will be impressed, And when you play your music, you will love it.
