## Description

Recognized as the world's premium line of products for joining plastic pipes and fittings, today's Weld-On solvent cements, primers and cleaners all meet low-VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) emission limits. These plumber-friendly products are yet another industry first, from the industry's first plastic pipe cement provider. Specially formulated for wet environments with an extremely fast setting time, Weld-On 725 Wet 'R Dry PVC Solvent Cement was created to address specific needs in irrigation and plumbing installation and repair. This PVC pipe cement creates a deep fusion between pipes and fittings with an interference fit up to a 6-inch diameter and is suitable for all classes and schedules of rigid and flexible PVC (including Schedule 80 up to a 4-inch diameter). The medium-bodied aqua blue PVC cement excels in wet conditions and in situations where quick pressurization is required, making it an ideal choice for irrigation, plumbing, and pool and spa applications. Weld-On 725 Wet 'R Dry PVC Solvent Cement can be used without primer on non-pressure systems if local codes permit. Although any Weld-On primer may be used effectively with Weld-On 725, we suggest the use of fast-acting Weld-On P-75 Wet 'R Dry primer in combination with this solvent cement.

Review: MAN!! This Is Great Stuff To Work With. - I use Weld-On whenever I have to repair one of my "guaranteed for life" hoses that I use to water plants. The fine print on the hose warranty usually says that the hose is guaranteed but not the fittings. Once the fittings break or if I'm splicing two hoses together, I'll use this pvc cement to help secure the connector and/or the replacement male or female bib. Most replacement hose bibs don't fit the hoses perfectly, so I run some of the Weld-On around the part of the bib to be inserted into the hose and also around the underside of the bib that rests against the end of the hose. This helps fill in any gaps and provides a more secure attachment. The blue color is great because you can see if you've properly coated all of the surfaces and the Weld-On can be applied even if the hose end is still wet. Quick drying is also a benefit although you should leave it to cure for 24 hours before using the hose. The lack of strong odor is also a plus but you still should work with it in a well ventilated area and use a face mask. Just because you can't smell a chemical doesn't mean that it's not still there. I'm convinced that breathing in any chemicals over time will affect your lungs and/or immune system. Better safe than sorry.

I have not tried this cement on pipe that has had oil or other petroleum distillates in it. For water applications such as water well pipes, I highly recommend this PVC cement. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ MAN!! This Is Great Stuff To Work With.

I use Weld-On whenever I have to repair one of my "guaranteed for life" hoses that I use to water plants. The fine print on the hose warranty usually says that the hose is guaranteed but not the fittings. Once the fittings break or if I'm splicing two hoses together, I'll use this pvc cement to help secure the connector and/or the replacement male or female bib. Most replacement hose bibs don't fit the hoses perfectly, so I run some of the Weld-On around the part of the bib to be inserted into the hose and also around the underside of the bib that rests against the end of the hose. This helps fill in any gaps and provides a more secure attachment. This PVC cement works well for new construction or emergency repairs. You can use it on dry PVC pipe or wet pipe that has recently had water in it. I have not tried this cement on pipe that has had oil or other petroleum distillates in it. For water applications such as water well pipes, I highly recommend this PVC cement. I did not use primer with this cement. I did not think it was necessary.

Can't comment on warmth. I don't want to touch it. Not thick. Does set fast though. Held full pressure with 3/4 PVC After 20 minutes. Cost more than local hardware store but it was out of stock.
