Didn’t know how well this bag would hold up, considering that the material is more of nylon type, not canvas. It has 3 different size compartments and two pockets, which is very nice to have for different size stuff. I took this bag to the amusement park for the day and put it through the ringer! Set down at my feet on the rides, carried it, I dropped it in water by accident...lol! Stuffed it with things that I needed throughout the day as well as carrying my mom’s makeup and medication, not to mention the souvenirs that I purchased. To my surprise this bag held up very nicely no scuffs or rips!The only downside for me is that this bag doesn’t have a side pocket for water bottle. I didn’t notice that upon purchase, until I was getting ready for my day at the park. I did put my water bottle into the larger compartment but somehow it leaked with all the movement the cap came undone water was leaking from the bag. This bag is water resistant not water proof!Overall it’s a good little bag very comfortable to wear, durable with plenty of room! It is actually a navy blue, I thought it was black, but I’m fine with it either way. The fabric seems very durable and the shoulder strap is very comfortable. There are more than enough zipper pockets, even one Velcro one for my phone, which is a little small, but my phone still fits. I pulled the strap all the way through which left a long hanging strap, but there is a loop on the end which I put around the buckle, so instead of it hanging, it’s a loop, which I’m fine with, doesn’t bother me.
