I made sure to rehydrate with lots of conditioner and some hair oil. The dark brown was darker than I expected, but its a flattering color. I will definitely buy it again. I recommend adding a little water at a time. I covered everything with a muddy consistency so it wouldn't drip, and then added a little water once it was applied to massage it in over the tub. I wrapped a plastic bag tightly over it and let it set for 45 minutes. I will probably get 2 boxes next time because my hair is long and I felt like it was stretched thin. Since the initial wash, NONE has come out when I wash it, and my towels and clothes remain unstained.
