I have a 2010 25 hp Tohatsu, (which is not covered by this guide), but a call to the author assured me that there was no change (now that's service!). The book clearly grades each repair or maintenance job by difficulty, so that the DIYer knows the complexity of the task before he starts and can decide to stay clear of it if it exceeds his skill level. The photos and diagrams are very clear and explicit, and there's detailed commentary on each phase of engine repair and maintenance. I would almost guanrantee that you would save the cost of the manual on the first job you do yourself instead of paying a mechanic. Furthermore, there's alot of very interesting comments by the author on subjects you wouldn't expect in a repair manual, like how a four cycle engine differs from a two cycle engine, boat safety, history of Tohatsu. I found out that Tohatsu actually makes all Mercury engine up tp 25 hp, so I can save on parts by buying Mercury instead of the more costly Tohatsu replacement parts. Worth the price of admission right there!!!!! All in all, this was a very cost-effective purchase, regardless of one's mechanical skill level. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Untech Friendly *by B***S on Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2021* Great book once you get used to looking from one section to another. Very DIY friendly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Too much information *by J***S on Reviewed in the United States on August 3, 2013* This book does have more detail on my engine than I had access to from the manufacturer's publications but it also has a lot of info on other models too. I suggest you get a pad of post it flags and go through and flag the pages that matter to you so that you dont have to constantly search for them over the years you use this book.
