The cotton feels rough, even when washed and then rinsed with fabric softener. However, it's an attractive blanket and it does hold up to machine washing. I used the gentle cycle, warm water, and a hugh mesh laundry bag to encase it during laundering. What appears to be a very loose weave tightens up after maching washing and drying, but with no noticeable shrinking of overall size. I plan to buy a second one. ### ⭐ weaving quality not good *by C***S on Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2020* Right out of the package there were two holes where threads were broken, plus several areas of loose threads that were not woven properly. I wanted a soft cotton blanket that was machine washable and dryable. It was not soft. Washing might have softened it, but there was conflicting laundering information. The label sewn to the blanket said wash cold water, dry low heat, but the sticker on the outside of the package said air dry or dry no heat. I would not have purchased it if it had to be air dried, things don't air dry well in the winter where I live. Washing would have made the broken thread holes bigger anyway.
